1. What we collect

When you sign in with GitHub OAuth, NoteshipAI receives your GitHub username, display name, profile photo URL, and email address (if made public on GitHub). We store this information to identify your account and display it in the dashboard.

We store the changelogs and READMEs you generate, associated with your account, so you can view and share them later. We also record credit usage per generation.

2. What we do not collect

NoteshipAI requests read-only access to your GitHub repositories solely to fetch commit history and file diffs for generation. We do not store your source code, repository contents, or GitHub access tokens beyond the active session.

3. How we use your data

  • To authenticate you and maintain your session
  • To generate changelogs and READMEs on your behalf
  • To track credit usage and billing status
  • To provide access to your generation history

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. AI generation

Changelog and README generation is powered by Anthropic's Claude. Commit data (messages and file diffs) is sent to the Anthropic API to produce the generated output. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API inputs.

5. Data retention

Your account data and generated changelogs are retained as long as your account exists. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

6. Cookies and sessions

NoteshipAI uses secure HTTP-only session cookies to maintain your authenticated session. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
